There are kids in high school now
who don't remember 1993...like it was a million years ago.
They missed a lot. The music they listen to now started that year with Nirvana, Soul Asylum, Porno for Pyros, Jane's Addiction, NIN, stuff like that. The difference being back then it was new and innovative, not copycat .
And then there was MTV Alternative Nation with Kennedy

Too bad, you missed a great time. We where subjected to terrible hair bands, then it all ended in one fell swoop.

just as your doing now

I suppose. I don't personally give most of those bands a lot of credit in my mind; I like some of them, but I'm not a person who thinks music is good because it inspired better music.
In my mind I didn't really miss much musicwise.

What bothers me is the style has not changed in 15 years. There is nothing that really defines times today.

I'm 15 now, so I would have been two years old, but I love NIN! Lol, off topic kinda I guess, but I love their new album, it's so good. I have no time for rap, homies, tryhards etc.

Huh?! Electronic music is becoming more popular. Its just slow, but House is huge. More raves, warehouse parties, doofs, more styles of electronic music and more clubs are doing drum and bass , hardstyle, psytrance and progressive trance.

Missed? The way I see it is I don't have to wait for any of the bands I like to make a new cd or sell out, they have already come and gone.
As for party music, nothing is better than good old fashion skanking ska music, forget this new age junk.

Point me to some new Electronic music. I like a strong beat, complex melodies, and little vocals.

I drive passed a high school on my way to work. I see kids wearing Led Zeppelin and AC DC tee shirts. It’s amazing.

I am wearing my Zeppelin shirt right now, woot.
It's not that amazing, a lot of people my age still listen to the good stuff, most of my friends do. I only listen to the oldies and ska myself so when I see someone else who listens to it I just kinda shrug it off as something that's normal.

Does this new age junk don't appeal to you? As im assuming you are talking about trance, drum and bass ect. But thats ok, some people can't adept to new music or new styles. Or rather some people dont even give it a chance, and dismiss it and go back to the old stuff and listen to it over and over again. Funny, huh?

You might like Anthem trance or progressive trance? Hard trance? Depends on how fast the beat you want.
You like a slow beat, like electronic funk? you also got house which is a bit faster.
This is linerider but its the song playing is No Alternative by DJ merlin and DJ C-bass. Its anthem trance or hard trance, hard to tell.
This is a remix of evermore's Its to late by dirty south. I wouldn't say its very good but just using it as an example. Ministry of Sound release House music quite often, this song was in 2006 release. There is better house out there than was Ministry of Sound release imo, they are just very popular.
Hardstyle is well, hard. This is just a guy doing some shuffle\walking man dancing but the song is hardstyle. This style of trance you would hear the most at raves along with Happy hardcore.
